kiKi ("kiKi", "we", "us") is a location-based marketplace that connects people with sellers, shops, and services near them. By using kiKi you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us and information generated as you use kiKi:
- Account information — your name or username, email address, phone number, and optionally your gender and country.
- Location — with your permission, your device location, so we can show nearby items, sort results by distance, and provide directions.
- Content you post — listings, photos, shop details, and the messages you send to other users.
- Identifiers — an account or user ID we assign to your account.
- Notifications — if you enable push notifications, a device push token used to deliver them.
- Usage and diagnostics — basic information about how the app is used and technical data that helps us fix crashes and improve performance.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To show items, shops, and services near you and personalise what you see by distance.
- To enable listings, in-app messaging, and notifications.
- To keep kiKi safe — preventing fraud, enforcing our rules, and reviewing reported content.
- To respond to support requests and communicate important updates.
3. What we don't do
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising. kiKi does not run third-party ad networks.
4. How information is shared
- With other users — when you post a listing or shop, the details you choose to share (such as photos, description, and general location) are visible to other users so they can find and contact you.
- With service providers — trusted partners that help us run the app, such as hosting, maps, and push-notification delivery, who may only use the data to provide their service to us.
- For legal reasons — where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or kiKi.
5. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile information at any time in the app.
- Control or revoke location and notification permissions from your device settings.
- Report or block other users, and remove your own listings.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (see below).
6. Deleting your account and data
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data from within the app, or by emailing hello@kikimap.com from your registered address. We will delete your data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. When it's no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in details private and tell us about any unauthorised use.
9. Children
kiKi is intended only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used kiKi, contact us and we will remove the account.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use of kiKi after a change means you accept the updated policy.
